As a longtime myth nerd, I even have a smooth spot in my heart for both George R.R. Martin's A track of Ice and fireplace and J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series. while I consider Martin creates more fully developed normal characters in his studies — he writes women method stronger than Tolkien ever might, as an example — there's no denying that the original sagas of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins had been groundbreaking classics.
So which acclaimed myth writer is truly improved? That's the question that the Epic Rap Battles YouTube channel currently tried to answer when it pitted actors playing Martin and Tolkien against every different in a hilarious spoof.

As is the case with all Epic Rap Battles video clips, the Martin-vs.-Tolkien combat is loaded with clever puns and awesome put downs.
"You desire a struggle, George? / Welcome to Shire-raq!" Tolkien threatens at first of the video. "In ebook sales, you've received nothing to say / I'm No. 1 and a pair of, you're under 50 colors of grey / I received the prose of a pro, your shit is subpar / You're a pirate — you even stole my 'R.R.'"
Martin isn't intimidated by using this, although, and he responds that "You went too deep, professor tweed pants / We don't need the backstory on each fuckin' tree branch / Even the names of your characters suck / You've acquired Boffers and Bofurs and Brandybucks."
